As Australia’s first chocolate maker, Ernest Hillier changed us from a colonial backwater, grateful for the scraps of Europe and the US, into a producer of our own quality chocolate, launching a chocolate culture that continues to this day. But it was only once people tasted Ernest Hillier’s chocolates, that Australia’s love affair with chocolate really began. Utilising a range of premium vineyards across South Australia, we’ve crafted a wine that captures all that is good about Grenache. Aromatic, deceptively light but with beautiful wild fruit supple tannins. Aromatic and lifted on the nose with a beautifully layered, textural palate with wild strawberry and spice.
